As a family photographer, every session is a unique adventure, and the recent photoshoot with the Upham family at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in Stevens, PA was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of nature, this picturesque spot offers a stunning view of a lake where thousands of snow geese gather every winter, creating a breathtaking backdrop that is equally enchanting throughout the year.
The excitement for this session was palpable, and yet, the weather forecast kept us on our toes. Initially predicting rain to linger just hours before the scheduled session, the uncertainty loomed over us. As I sat in my car in the parking lot, periodically checking the windshield wipers, the skies decided to play their part. Miraculously, about 5 minutes before the Upham family of six arrived, the rain ceased, setting the stage for a remarkable day.
Photographing the Uphams for the second time was like reuniting with old friends. The children, now two years older, brought their infectious energy and zest for life. Our location along the water's edge provided the perfect setting for a day filled with laughter, exploration, and the creation of beautiful memories.
The session included individual portraits of each child, capturing the essence of their unique personalities. From the youngest to the oldest, their joy radiated through the lens. Sibling photos as well, showcasing the unbreakable bonds that had only deepened over the years. We even took a few moments to focus on just the boys, just the girls, and some special groupings for the proud parents.
One of the highlights of the day was when mom and dad had a quiet moment to themselves. As the kids took a break and explored the surroundings, the couple enjoyed some precious time together, creating images that reflected the strength and love that has been the foundation of their family.
