Our first attempt with the Polinski family was a rainy one, the kind of day where the skies clearly say, not today. But instead of forcing it, we rescheduled. And I’m so glad we did. Not only did the weather show up for us the second time around, but we landed on a date when the entire family was in town, which made this session even more meaningful.

This year, I didn’t get my camera out as much as I wanted to. And for a while, that bothered me. But when I actually slowed down and looked back—really looked back—I realized something important: just because I didn’t document every moment doesn’t mean the moments weren’t there.

We hosted our fall mini sessions at Lancaster County Park, where the golden hour sun filters through the trees in the most dreamy, glowy way. You know the light I’m talking about—the kind that makes everything feel warm, nostalgic, and a little magical.
