Sometimes sessions don’t go exactly as planned—and honestly, that’s often where the magic sneaks in.
Our first attempt with the Polinski family was a rainy one, the kind of day where the skies clearly say, not today. But instead of forcing it, we rescheduled. And I’m so glad we did. Not only did the weather show up for us the second time around, but we landed on a date when the entire family was in town, which made this session even more meaningful.
We met at Lancaster County Park during the most perfect golden hour. Soft light filtering through the trees, warm tones everywhere, and that calm, glowy feeling that only happens when timing finally falls into place.
The Polinski family settled in effortlessly—laughing, connecting, and soaking up being together. And then there was the added bonus… puppy portraits. Which, if you know me, you know makes my heart extra happy. Watching a pup weave their way into family photos is always a reminder that our pets aren’t just accessories—they’re family, too.
This session was such a good reminder that flexibility can lead to something even better than the original plan. Rain delays, reschedules, and changing calendars can feel frustrating in the moment—but when you end up with golden light, everyone you love present, and photos that feel relaxed and real? Worth it.
These are the images that tell a fuller story. Not just what your family looks like—but what it felt like to be together in this season.
✨ Planning family photos and worried about weather or scheduling hiccups? I’ve got you. We’ll pivot, adjust, and make sure it still feels easy and meaningful. Reach out here and let’s plan a session that works for your family—rain plans and puppies welcome.
