Some mornings feel heavy before they even begin. On the day of Hermoine’s session, raindrops clung to the windows and the sky stayed gray a little longer than we’d hoped. But as soon as Stasia and her sweet pup arrived at East Lampeter Park, the clouds broke open and the sun poured down—almost as if it knew this was a moment worth shining on.
This wasn’t just any photo session. Stasia had one wish: “I just want special photos of me with my sweet pup before her time comes.” And that’s exactly what we set out to do—pause time, if only for a little while.

Matching Dresses & a Whole Lot of Love
When I saw them step out of the car in coordinated yellow dresses, I couldn’t help but grin. They looked like sunshine itself, walking hand in hand (and paw) into the park. Hermoine’s tail poked out the back of her little dress, swishing with joy as she explored the grass and soaked up every treat her mama lovingly offered.
We laughed as she showed off her snaggly teeth and wide smile—little details that make her, her. These are the quirks we’ll always remember. The tiny things you never think to capture… until you realize they’re the very things you can’t bear to forget.
The Bond That Can’t Be Measured
As I watched Stasia with Hermoine, it was so clear: this pup is her whole heart. Every cuddle, every laugh, every gentle pat on Hermoine’s head carried the weight of unconditional love. I always say the best dog moms are the ones who celebrate every season—the silly, the messy, the fleeting—and Stasia embodies that perfectly.
Why We Preserve the Now
End-of-life sessions aren’t about saying goodbye. They’re about saying thank you. Thank you for the joy, the loyalty, the companionship. Thank you for the tail wags, the paw prints on our hearts, and the way love softens even the hardest days.
On that rainy-turned-sunny day, Stasia and Hermoine gave us all a reminder: love like this is worth capturing, worth holding, and worth remembering long after the seasons change.
