As a family photographer, I recently had the pleasure of hosting tree farm mini sessions at the enchanting Heritage Tree Farm in Lititz, PA. Nestled in the heart of a charming town, this local family-run tree farm provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with festive cheer and heartwarming memories.
Heritage Tree Farm is known for its sprawling fields of evergreens, creating a picturesque setting for holiday photos. I had the pleasure of serving 10 families during these mini sessions, and each one brought a unique blend of warmth, laughter, and nostalgia.
The day was a mix of familiar faces – some were repeat clients, others were old coworkers, former classmates, and delightful new faces eager to create lasting memories. The air was filled with excitement as children explored the fields, their eyes lighting up at the sight of the vintage red car that was once mine as a child. The wooden sled, a cherished heirloom from my grandfather, added a touch of rustic charm to the scenes we captured.
One creative highlight of the day involved using instant mashed potatoes to simulate a snow-filled wonderland. This not only created captivating visuals but also ensured we left no trace behind, allowing the local wildlife to continue enjoying the natural beauty of the tree farm.
The real magic, however, unfolded as I witnessed the sheer delight on the children's faces during this festive season. Christmas time has a unique way of bringing out the purest joy in little hearts, and it was evident in every frame I captured. The twinkle in their eyes, the rosy cheeks, and the genuine smiles were truly the most special treats of the day.
Families arrived in their best holiday outfits, radiating joy and warmth against the backdrop of the evergreen fields. To add an extra layer of charm, four families even brought their beloved dogs along for the session, creating heartwarming moments and showcasing the true essence of family.
