Recently, I had the opportunity to capture the essence of a four-generation family during a girls' trip to the iconic Sight & Sound Theater in Amish country. This particular journey was infused with a special significance, as it marked the youngest member's first adventure. The backdrop for our session? The charming Historic Poole Forge in Narvon, PA.
The matriarch of this remarkable family is Grandma, an inspiring 89-year-old woman who has seen and experienced a lifetime of adventures. Last November, the family faced a health scare with Grandma, casting doubt on the possibility of this trip. However, as they say, "God is good!" The family emerged from the challenge healthier, happier, and more grateful for the opportunity to explore Amish country together.
My initial excitement as I arrived at Historic Poole Forge was met with a realization—I had neglected to check the venue's calendar before scheduling the session. A wedding was underway on the main grounds. After a brief moment of panic, I approached the event coordinator, and with a stroke of luck and understanding, we were directed to a picturesque creek area down a small lane. It turned out to be a hidden gem, providing the perfect backdrop for our session.
Meeting Jessica and her diverse group of family members was an absolute joy. Their laughter filled the air as we embarked on capturing moments that would become cherished memories. Little Molly, at the tender age of 3, was initially reserved, but as the session progressed, she began to open up, revealing her adorable personality.
