The first beach day of the year always feels like the official first day of summer to me. We left early in the morning and spent the whole day at the beach with our family.
We had great weather. Estella was able explore much better this year now that she's mobile. She had a great time digging holes, splashing the water, and eating lots of snacks. She had so much fun that she even skipped her nap, for the first time ever.
We just love seeing her explore and learn new things and bond with her family.
And because Estella is currently OBSESSED with Moana, I knew we had to do a photo session on the beach while we were there. We got dressed up and took a walk to the end of the beach with our seashell from home and let her play. Moana is currently either playing on our tv or the soundtrack is playing on our phones daily. But you know what, it's a great movie and a great soundtrack, and I honestly don't mind watching and listening to it on repeat.
Here are some great life lessons from Disney's Moana that I hope our little future leader can always remember:
Listen to your heart and follow it wherever it may take you.
Face your fears.
The ones we love never leave us.
When you make a mistake, fix it.
It's never too late to do the right thing.
Never be afraid of being different.
Be true to who you are.
You are stronger than you think.
If life knocks you down, try again and again until you can stand tall.
Kindness is what brings the world to life.
